At 2155hrs on Tuesday 26th March 1996, a man living in Warley, West Bromwich in the Midlands reports going into his back garden when he saw a bright white light in the sky. The sky was very cloudy. The light rose and entered the cloud, then travelled through it before dropping back through the cloud and once again rising up into it. The light then proceeded to travel from horizon to horizon, quote "Bloody Fast" end quote in about five seconds. He said he had no idea how far the object was away but it measured about 2 inches across from his ground position. He said it was a big bright white light. There was no tail, just a bright light travelling very fast.

Enquiries were made with the West Midlands Police helecopter unit based at Birmingham Airport who said that they had been in that area during the evening. However it did not appear that the helecopter was in that area for a least one hour either side of the time of the sighting.
